EC1

The EC1 mullion reader is a complete Census® reader. It has been designed to provide a short range, low cost alternative to Identec's 'Hands Free' readers.

It is simple and quick to install. Supplied as standard in a black ABS housing the fixing screws are covered with a grey and blue Polycarbonate label as shown. Alternative housing and labels can be supplied contact Identec for further information.

The EC1 operates with any Census® tag providing a typical reading range with the TC1 tags of 15cm. LED indication is provided to indicate power to the reader and that a tag is being read. A separate Green LED can be controlled externally to indicate acceptance by the management systems. The whole unit is encapsulated. Optional Buzzer facility can be added to sound when tag presented or when a battery low tag is detected.

The product is suitable for numerous applications, they include but are not limited to:
