Census® tags can be simultaneously interrogated with no loss of fidelity. The RF communication between each tag and reader is scrambled to eliminate the chance of simulated tokens being used. Battery low indication is a standard feature.

Census® patented technology offers many benefits to systems designers, integrators, and end users. Not least of these is that the tags do not interfere with other electronic surveillance systems resulting in false alarms etc. The typical error rate for Census® is 1:100 million in worst case noise, this is significantly better than any other tag system. Census® tags can be supplied with a fixed one time programmed 32 or 64-bit code. Strict factory audits ensure no two tags are issued with the same ID number.

Important Notice: Protect Your Identec Tags from Wireless Charging Interference

Wireless chargers rely on high-powered magnetic induction, which can disrupt nearby electronics, including Identec Tags. To prevent potential damage, never place your Identec Tags near or on wireless chargers, as the strong magnetic fields can impair or permanently harm the tags.

For best performance and longevity, always keep your Identec Tags clear of wireless charging zones.

Technical Specification

TC6 has a shelf life of 7 years or greater stored at 20°C. Operational life depends upon usage. However based upon 36 uses per day of 10 seconds each, or 6 minutes continuous interrogation per day, typical cell life at 20°C is 3 years or greater. All Census® product operates in the temperature range -20°C to +60°C.
